The Division of General Internal Medicine at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) is seeking a postdoctoral research fellow with interests in obesity, nutrition, and lifestyle behavior. The fellow will work with Anne Thorndike, MD, MPH in the Division of General Medicine on an NIH-funded randomized controlled trial testing a worksite intervention providing personalized feedback about food choices and health to prevent weight gain and cardiometabolic risk among an employee population.

The Feed the Future Innovation Lab for Peanut Research (Peanut Lab) is a five-year, $14 million USAID-funded program supporting collaborative research between US and developing country partners in four Areas of Inquiry related to peanuts: varietal improvement, value-added gains along the value chain, understanding the role of peanuts in nutrition and health, and understanding the roles of gender and youth along the peanut value chain. Gender and youth are also crosscutting considerations for all Peanut Lab projects.

Dana-Farber's Sun Safety/Skin Cancer Prevention Program works to reduce the incidence of skin cancer in Massachusetts through free education and free skin cancer screenings for the public. Interns work aboard the Blum Family Van and travel throughout the Greater Boston area screening underserved and at-risk populations. Deadline is March 15th.

The program combines training in graduate degree programs in the Department of Epidemiology with collaborative research experiences with top investigators in epidemiology and clinical research. The Feinstein International Center annual summer grants program is designed to stimulate applied research in issues pertaining to complex emergencies, humanitarian assistance, refugees and other migrants, natural disasters, and food security. The grants are intended to support travel and living expenses. Funds cannot be used to cover salary, overhead, indirect costs, or the purchase of equipment. Grants are up to $3,000 for overseas positions and up to $2,000 for US-based positions.
