The Friedman School pursues cutting-edge research and education from cell to society, including in molecular nutrition, human metabolism, population studies, clinical trials, nutrition interventions and behavior change, communication, food systems and sustainability, global food insecurity, humanitarian crises, and food economics and policy.
Dr. Amin Nikkhah has published more than 40 scientific papers in high impact journals and is also the guest editor of the special issues in the Journal of Life Cycle Assessment and Sustainability. His current research interests are development of life cycle assessment (LCA) methodology, and circular economy in the sustainable/future food systems.
Dr. Nikkhah was awarded his PhD by the department of Bioscience Engineering at Ghent University, Belgium in 2021.
