Kimberly Howe
Research Assistant Professor
Kimberly Howe is a Research Assistant Professor at the Friedman School and a Researcher Director of Conflict and Governance of the Feinstein International Center (FIC) at Tufts University. She is currently a Senior Fellow at the Leir Institute at the Fletcher School. She heads the Early Marriage in Conflict and Displacement: From Research to Practice Program at FIC. In addition to the topic of early marriage, her work centers on civilian well-being in conflict, governance, and developing ethical research methods in working with marginalized and conflict-affected populations. She regularly consults for the USG and humanitarian organizations on researching humanitarian policy and practice. She formerly practiced as a psychotherapist with people who have survived traumatic experiences, including interpersonal and political violence.
