Liz Hatzenbuehler

Liz Hatzenbuehler is a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) and works as the Food and Health Policy Program Manager at Community Servings in Jamaica Plain, MA. In her role, she provides research, advocacy and coalition support for Community Servings' advocacy and policy projects and campaigns. She engages with state and national coalitions representing various constituencies, including consumers, community-based organizations, healthcare, researchers, and insures to promote Community Servings' initiatives, including Food Is Medicine and Medically Tailored Meals. Prior to this role, Liz worked as Senior Nutritionist with the Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants and Children (WIC) and oversaw implementation of the nutrition component of the program and provided nutrition counseling to WIC families. Liz entered the field of nutrition and dietetics through the kitchen - she attended Culinary School at Johnson & Wales University where she took her first nutrition course and discovered she could blend her passion for healthy cooking/eating and active living as a RDN. Liz holds an MS in Nutrition Interventions, Communication and Behavior Change from Tufts Friedman School of Nutrition Science and Policy and an MPH from the Tufts University School of Medicine. In her free time, Liz enjoys cycling, running, and cooking for friends and family.
