Hattie Brown

Hattie recently graduated from the dual-degree Masters of Science and Masters of International Business program at the Friedman School of Nutrition Science and Policy and the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy. Her studies focused on social change and economic development through impact and ESG-factor investment, particularly in the food and agriculture sectors. Hattie is currently working for an impact fund focused on mental wellness where she analyzes potential investments for impact and develops the fund's strategy for investing in nutrition. Prior, Hattie worked for MSCI as an ESG researcher on sustainable impact metrics in the areas of nutrition, access to healthcare, and human capital development. Hattie was a Kirchner Food Fellow, an impact investing fellowship mandated to invest in an agricultural business committed to soil health and water conservation. During her time at Friedman, Hattie was a Tisch Fellow at the USDA Foreign Agriculture Service Food Assistance Division, where her work focused on the impact of development programs on agricultural markets and trade facilitation. Prior to graduate school, Hattie worked in compliance within consumer banking and municipal bond insurance.
