We are seeking a student in public health, nutrition, nursing, medicine, or other related fields to work as an intern on the PROPS Study (Partnerships for Reducing Overweight and Obesity with Patient-Centered Strategies) over the next 6-12 months. The PROPS Study, which is being conducted at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and is funded by the Patient-centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI), is a randomized clinical trial comparing the effectiveness of three weight management strategies in primary care patients with hypertension or type 2 diabetes. More information about the PROPS Study is available here. This volunteer position is a great opportunity to learn more about clinical research and to gain valuable experience in the field. The time commitment is approximately 8-10 hours per week, but could be flexible depending on availability. Responsibilities will include contacting patients about completing follow-up surveys, helping with mailings, assisting with data entry, and other miscellaneous tasks. Interested applicants should send a brief cover letter and resume to the Principal Investigator, Dr. Heather Baer, and the Research Project Manager, Nyryan Nolido. Location: Brigham and Women's Hospital, 1620 Tremont Street, Boston.
