Food is Medicine Summit examined food as a central component for health

Industry stakeholders gathered at the Friedman School to explore ways to make food a focal point of health. How can policymakers, healthcare systems, and patients themselves work to make food and nutrition the center of healthcare? That was the question nonprofit, government, and private sector leaders sought to answer at the Food is Medicine National Summit: Transforming Healthcare, held at the Friedman School of Nutrition Science and Policy recently.

Friedman School of Nutrition Science and Policy More than 110 students graduated from the Friedman School of Nutrition Science and Policy at Tufts University in a ceremony at Cohen Auditorium on May 21. Graduates received 16 doctoral degrees, 82 Master of Science degrees, and 16 Master of Nutrition Science and Policy degrees.

Welcoming Dr. Leung!

The Friedman School is delighted to announce the appointment of May May Leung, PhD, RDN as an Associate Professor and Chair of the Division of Nutrition Interventions, Communication, and Behavior Change. Dr. Leung is currently an Associate Professor of Nutrition at the Hunter College School of Urban Public Health, which is based within the City University of New York system. She is also the Research Director of the Hunter College New York City Food Policy Center.
