Join us for a discussion with Dariush Mozaffarian, Special Advisor to the Provost and Dean for Policy at the Friedman School. The White House Conference on Hunger, Nutrition, and Health will be convened in September 2022, with the ambitious goal of developing a roadmap of actions to improve nutrition, end hunger, and reduce diet-related chronic diseases in the United States by 2030. This talk will focus on (1) the efforts undertaken by our independent coalition to support and inform the Conference, convening voices from across the nation and from multiple sectors to discuss policy actions to achieve the Conference goals; (2) the national recommendations and roadmap presented at the White House Conference; and (3) planned critical post-Conference work to continue to translate and disseminate of scientific evidence into public awareness, policy, and innovation.
This lecture is also part of the Hoch Cunningham Environmental Lecture Series; to explore and register for other lectures in our series, visit our website.
