The VizAthon is a Hack-A-Thon style event – held over 1 week – aimed at translating science and data into compelling visualizations that help communities across the US develop initiatives to improve health and address disparities. Participation is open to all current Tufts University students and we encourage different skill sets and backgrounds.
The VizAthon is an opportunity to do good, meet new people, work in multi-disciplinary teams, and develop compelling portfolio pieces that are highly sought out by employers. Whether you are a data newbie or a pro, all students are welcome to work in teams, and you can come with your own team or set up a new team during our team up event! Look forward to a week of workshops, collaborating with other students, learning valuable skills, and maybe winning cash or other prizes at the VizAthon.
