Academics for Black Survival and Wellness was organized by a group of Black counseling psychologists and their colleagues who practice Black allyship. Guided by a Black feminist frame, we hope to foster accountability and growth for non-Black people and enhance healing and wellness for Black people.
As you prepare for the training week, here is some information to note:
- Each day of the training is scheduled to be no more than 8 hours with breaks.
- Each morning, you will have access to a welcome message and an exercise to help you prepare for the day's learning.
- You will have the opportunity to sign up for accountability groups based on your availability to meet.
Topics:
- Topic 1: Foundations for Black Survival and Wellness
- Topic 2: Understanding Anti-Black Racism: History and Systems
- Topic 3: Appropriately Applying Intersectionality
