"How My Personal Journey Led Me to Develop an Out-of-the-Box Approach to Community Outreach High Impact + Low Resources = Desired Outcomes"
Abstract/Bio
Carolyn C. DeSena, Founder and President of the WEforum Group, started out as a communications major at the University of Texas at Austin. As a 21-year-old graduate, she embarked on a journey that did not reflect her studies. Instead of pursing a career as journalist, film editor or screen writer, she decided to take a role trading on the floor of the stock exchange. Today, Carolyn talks about how her professional and personal journey led her to develop a charitable foundation that focuses on empowering individuals to make healthier decisions. With minimal resources, Carolyn developed partnerships with educators, businesses and political leaders to raise funds for free educational health and wellness programs that serve under-targeted communities. Come learn how your journey and passions can you to lead you to having a balanced life while serving your community and those who need YOU.
