For the past two months, the Community Health Program at Tufts University has hosted this remarkably powerful art exhibit, as part of a collaborative initiative, Stigma Unstuck: A Mental Health Art Series at Tufts. The exhibit spreads across four floors of the Collaborative Innovation and Learning Center (CLIC) building at Medford campus. This series of photographs, paintings and sculptures was conceived of by artist Lynda Cutrell working in collaboration with partners from science and journalism, to address issues of stigma and mental illness. Visitors of all ages and experiences report they gain a new understanding of mental health, challenging prejudices and assumptions about mental health. This is the last night the exhibit can be seen on the Tufts campus, as the next morning it will be packed up to be moved to Dartmouth.
