Each year, New Entry Sustainable Farming Project opens its ‘doors’ and welcomes the community for a tour at their incubator farm sites for an afternoon of fun and farming in the field! The tour gives an insider’s view of the beginning farmer incubator training sites and what it takes to farm on ¼ acre.
Use this opportunity to learn from project farmers and staff about New Entry's beginning farmer training programs, farmland preservation efforts, and farm employment resources. Discover what motivates New Entry farmers and hear first-hand the challenges and joys of starting a small farm business. And most importantly, explore where your food comes from! Also, enjoy some delicious appetizers made with locally-grown produce right from the farms.
New Entry's two incubator farms in Dracut, MA are located at 126 Jones Ave. and 25 Wildlife Way.
Free and open to all New Entry friends and supporters. This event will occur, rain or shine.
