Investments in the Friedman School annual fund provide immediate support where it is needed most. Whether you are an alum, parent, student, or friend of the school, your gift to the Annual Fund provides essential, unrestricted funding that advances the Friedman School’s mission.

What You Can Support

Annual Fund gifts touch every corner of the Friedman School experience. They enable us to respond swiftly to new opportunities and areas of need, attract the best and brightest students, and pursue top faculty hires. Here are just a few examples of what Annual Fund gifts support:

• Student Financial Aid—Enables talented students to receive an innovative nutrition education that empowers them to transform their lives and the lives of others.
• Nutrition Research—Students and faculty collaborate to produce trusted science that shapes our knowledge of human health and informs policy.
• Student Internships—Internships are a degree requirement for most of our master’s students. Annual Fund gifts provide the financial resources necessary to support students in this aspect of their education.
• Faculty—Attract and retain top-tier faculty and provide an environment that fosters scientific discovery.

Donor Recognition Societies

Leadership Giving: Nutrition Leaders—Donors who give $250 or more to the Friedman School Annual Fund during a fiscal year are recognized for their leadership support.

• Trustees’ Circle—$50,000+
• President’s Circle—$25,000-$49,999
• Society of Tufts Fellows—$10,000-$24,999
• Jean Mayer Society—$5,000-$9,999
• Gershoff-Munro Society—$2,500-$4,999
• Nutrition Associates—$1,000-$2,499
• Nutrition Friends—$250-$999

Consecutive Giving: Tufts Nutrition Loyalty Circle—Donors who give annually to the Friedman School provide a steady stream of resources that the school and center count on to meet the challenges and changes of the ever-changing nutrition field. The Tufts Nutrition Loyalty Circle recognizes these donors who give for two or more consecutive years, including the current fiscal year.

Dean’s Inner Circle—The Dean’s Inner Circle recognizes the students and alumni who wish to contribute to the Annual Fund in a meaningful way that honors their graduation and dedication to nutrition, sustainability, and health.

For Alumni: Your Dean’s Inner Circle gift will be $50 x the number of years since you graduated (e.g., $50 x 7 years since graduation = $350).

For Students: You will be recognized as a member of the Dean’s Inner Circle with an Annual Fund gift of $25 or more.
