Biography

Dr. Paul Howe is the Irwin H. Rosenberg Professor of Nutrition and Human Security and Director of the Feinstein International Center, where he brings deep expertise in famine, humanitarian crises, and world hunger. Drawing on more than 17 years of experience at the United Nations World Food Programme—including service as WFP Country Director in Nigeria—he advances research and education on these topics to help support global strategies to prevent crises and protect vulnerable populations.

Howe previously worked with WFP in Afghanistan, Uganda, and Laos and at the organization’s headquarters in Italy.

Education

Paul received a bachelor’s degree from Harvard University, a master’s degree from Princeton University, and a doctorate from the Institute of Development Studies at the University of Sussex.
