Biography 

Kelly Kane, MS, RD, LDN, is the Director of Nutrition and Dietetic Internship Director at the Frances Stern Nutrition Center and an Assistant Professor at the Friedman School of Nutrition Science and Policy. A Registered Dietitian for over 25 years, she specializes in clinical nutrition and medical nutrition therapy, working with acutely ill adults and children and educating patients on improving health through nutrition. She has taught nutrition to students and health professionals for two decades, co‑edited Advanced Medical Nutrition Therapy, and serves as Editor of Topics in Clinical Nutrition. Kelly also consults with businesses and physician groups and has served as a nutrition expert for various law firms. Her professional leadership includes roles within the Massachusetts Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and the Nutrition Dietetic Educators and Preceptors group. She has been honored as the 2022 Outstanding Faculty Member of the Year at the Friedman School, 2022 Outstanding Dietitian of the Year in Massachusetts, and 2020 Outstanding Dietetics Educator of the northeast region.
