Biography

Katie Stebbins is the Executive Director of the Food & Nutrition Innovation Institute at Tufts University, where she is building a world‑class ecosystem at the intersection of nutrition innovation, technology, and planetary resiliency. A leader in tech‑driven economic development, she previously served as Massachusetts’ inaugural Under Secretary for Technology, Innovation, and Entrepreneurship, guiding major state investments in cybersecurity, health tech, robotics, and advanced manufacturing. An entrepreneur who has launched three ventures and an Innovator in Residence at MIT Sloan, she brings deep expertise in catalyzing innovation across public, private, and academic sectors. She holds a master’s degree in regional planning from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
