Biography
Dr. Jiantao Ma, PhD, MBBS, is an Associate Professor at the Friedman School whose research examines how diet influences cardiometabolic diseases through epigenetic biomarkers, protein signatures, and diet–gene interactions. He completed his PhD at Tufts University and an Intramural Research Training Award Fellowship at the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute, where he advanced multi‑omics approaches to understanding metabolic risk. His work integrates nutrition epidemiology, genetics, and biomarker discovery to clarify the biological pathways linking dietary patterns to cardiovascular and metabolic health outcomes.
