Biography
Corby Kummer is the executive director of Food & Society at the Aspen Institute, a senior lecturer at the Friedman School, and a nationally recognized expert on food policy, sustainable food systems, and food justice. A longtime senior editor at The Atlantic, he created its influential coverage of food, sustainability, and policy, and has authored seminal works including The Joy of Coffee and The Pleasures of Slow Food. One of the most widely quoted voices on American food culture, he is also a weekly commentator on WGBH’s Boston Public Radio and the recipient of six James Beard Journalism Awards.
