Biography
Dr. Amin Nikkhah is a Research Assistant Professor in the Division of Agriculture, Food, and Environment at the Friedman School, where he applies life cycle assessment (LCA), process simulation, and AI‑driven bioprocess optimization to advance more sustainable and circular food and bio‑manufacturing systems, such as cellular agriculture. With experience spanning Europe, Asia, and North America, he has published more than 40 scientific papers in high‑impact journals and contributed to global bio‑sustainability initiatives. His current research focuses on integrating artificial intelligence with LCA to evaluate and enhance emerging bioprocesses, supporting innovations that strengthen sustainable food systems and promote a circular economy.
