Biography
Adela Hruby, PhD, MPH, LMHC is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Public Health and Community Medicine at the Tufts University School of Medicine, a Secondary Assistant Professor in Nutrition at the Friedman School, a nutritional epidemiologist, and a mental health therapist. Her research has focused on the epidemiology of obesity, nutritional factors in chronic disease, and behavioral factors associated with mental health. Her work at Tufts focuses on teaching in both Public Health and Nutrition. She completed her postdoctoral training at the Harvard School of Public Health before joining the Jean Mayer USDA Human Nutrition Research Center on Aging at Tufts University where she served as a Scientist II in Nutritional Epidemiology until 2020. She has since founded a private consulting company which focuses on nutrition research, and is a practicing psychotherapist in both private practice and college counseling.
