Course Description

This course is part two of a one-year, two-semester course on statistical methods for nutrition research. The focus of this course is on simple and multiple regression methods for continuous, binary, and survival data. Emphasis is on developing a conceptual understanding of the application of these techniques to solving problems rather than on numerical details. In the computer lab sessions, students will use concepts learned during lecture to analyze data using statistical software R and RStudio, an integrated development environment for R. NOTE: Students cannot receive semester hour units for both NUTR 309 and NUTR 307: Regression Analysis for Nutrition Policy.
