The Biostatistician provides analytic support for observational studies and behavioral intervention research focused on health disparities. Priority populations are primarily American Indians/Alaska Natives and Native Hawaiians/Pacific Islanders, with increasing focus on LatinX, rural, and migrant populations as well.
Research foci include, but are not limited to, cognitive function, Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias, neuroepidemiology and vascular brain injury, suicide prevention, cardiovascular disease, diabetes management, nutritional epidemiology, maternal/child health, men’s health, addiction research, and cancer screening.
