Tufts students on the Health Sciences campus looking to understand public relations, gain media relations experience, read a range of health material, and improve their writing skills can apply for the Tufts University Office of Public Relations (Boston) Graduate Student Internship. Based on the Boston campus, the paid internship offers a unique opportunity to gain public relations skills, including writing abstracts of PR hits, drafting news releases, researching health and media topics, and working with the PR team to draft media “pitches.” The intern works 10-15 hours per week during the semester, up to full-time during school breaks. Background in writing and/or media and/or science/medicine/health beneficial, as is interest in digital media/communications.
