The MOTIVATE Research Lab at NYU Langone in New York City is seeking a post-doctoral fellow to lead a new behavioral weight management intervention study in Veterans. Applicants should have a doctoral-level degree and a minimum of 5 years of research experience in one or more of the following areas: Health Psychology, Motivation, Behavior Change, Health Promotion, Public Health, Health Disparities, Obesity, Nutrition, Physical Activity, Qualitative research, Quantitative analysis, and/or Implementation Science. Spanish-speaking and/or candidates from under-represented groups are highly encouraged to apply. Candidate must have excellent communication skills. Project and people management skills highly preferred. The fellow would be expected to provide at least a 2-year commitment.
The NYU Grossman School of Medicine offers rich opportunities for collaboration and research training. Fellows will work in the MOTIVATE Research Lab (see description below) under the mentorship of Dr. Melanie Jay. They will also have opportunities to analyze data from three completed trials and will develop a training plan with the goal of becoming an independent investigator.
