At Goodnow Farms, we make fine flavor, single origin dark chocolate in Sudbury, MA. We are
committed to making a premium dark chocolate with great taste, which entails finding and using the
best quality cacao beans. We have traveled to farms in Mexico, Central America, and South America in
search of the most flavorful beans and worked to establish quality-focused, equitable partnerships with
the farmers who grow and harvest them. Through our direct trade sourcing model, we are able to
ensure that farmers are fairly compensated for their cacao (we pay premiums well above commodity
and Fair Trade minimums) and that their farming practices are environmentally sustainable. We believe
that great chocolate is “true to the bean” and by using beans sourced from only one farm or region,
we’re able to highlight the distinct flavor characteristics of that particular bean. Discovering those flavors
is one of the joys of making (and eating!) single origin chocolate.
We are searching for an outgoing and enthusiastic Sales Associate & Chocolate Educator to join our
retail team at Boston Public Market (BPM). In addition to engaging BPM customers and building brand
awareness, we are looking for a dedicated food-lover to conduct demos, tastings, and other
consumer-facing education events. This is a great opportunity for someone passionate about food
systems to learn about every aspect of creating a specialty product including: sourcing, establishing
equitable supply chains, product development, social media, marketing, and sales. Additional
opportunities to work on company-led agricultural sustainability research and development projects will
also be available to applicants with relevant skills.
