The Friedman School of Nutrition Science and Policy (http://www.nutrition.tufts.edu) is a leader in domestic and international nutrition and food systems teaching, research and policy. The Friedman School benefits from world-class, interdisciplinary faculty, a remarkable network of alumni and supporters, and global reach. The Friedman School is actively growing and recruiting faculty across several multidisciplinary areas, including the present position; nutrition, obesity, and diabetes; climate change, sustainability, and food systems; and computational methods and models for ‘big data’ in nutrition.
In this international open search, the Friedman School seeks a faculty member with expertise in behavioral research whose goal is to improve health through diet, physical activity and other health behaviors. Applicants should have expertise in the design, implementation, evaluation or scaling of one or more of these areas: innovative systems-based approaches to influence behavior; interventions to influence behavior in communities, health systems, worksites, schools, and other similar settings; innovative applications of mobile and other technologies; and novel methodologies and/or areas of research such as social networks, bio-behavioral markers, toxic stress assessment, and complexity systems science. Experience in working with underserved populations and expertise in health disparities and health inequities is desirable.
