Lead the development, implementation, and reporting of nutrition aspects of the WIC State Plan.
Develop and manage the nutrition services budget and ensure nutrition education and breastfeeding promotion and support aspects of the program operate within budget.
Oversee the interpretation, development, and evaluation of policies, procedures, standards, training, and technical assistance for WIC nutrition services, breastfeeding support, and clinic operations to enhance WIC participants' overall experience, learning, and health.
Plan nutrition components of state meetings, training sessions, and conferences.
Ensure strict compliance with state and federal regulations, consult with United States Department of Agriculture and other stakeholders, and respond to audit requests for the nutritional aspects of the program.
Make staffing decisions related to the supervision of current employees and recruitment of new nutrition staff.
