Want to put your education to work?
We have an opportunity for you to turn our questions into your
research project, internship or independent study!
Arlington EATS is a part of the food safety net in Arlington, MA. We are looking for someone who can do a nutritional analysis of what our clients are able to take each week at our Market (food pantry). We want to know if what we are sending home with clients is enough to feed them for a week or just a few days. We also want to know how we are doing nutritionally. Do we need to offer more protein? Fiber? Calcium? How does what we offer match up with a suggested healthy diet? We invite a student to “shop” our market and let us know how we are doing.
Arlington EATS Market is located inside the St John’s Church at 74 Pleasant Street in Arlington which is a 4 minute walk from the 77 bus line (which you can catch in Harvard Square). We are also a 20 minute walk from Alewife. If you are interested in helping us learn more about this aspect of our work and providing information that will allow us to better serve our clients, please e-mail Susan Dorson.
