The College of Health Solutions at Arizona State University invites applications for a postdoctoral research fellow. The fellow will work with Dr. Shu Wang, Professor in Nutrition, Arizona State University. The fellowship is housed at Arizona State University and is to prepare the trainee for a career in academic research.
The postdoctoral research fellow will work in innovative and transdisciplinary research projects with a theme of applying nanotechnology and transdermal delivery approaches in biomedical science for combating chronic diseases such as obesity, diabetes, atherosclerosis, neurodegenerative diseases and others. In addition to continuing the current research projects in Wang’s lab, the fellow is also encouraged in developing new ideas along our main research theme of innovative delivery technology.
It is expected that the candidate is strongly self-motivated and to be productive. In addition to research work, the Postdoc fellow will also be mentored and participate in grant application, project management, lab management and student training.
The ideal start date for the position is May 2021, but is negotiable. The initial appointment is for one year and the appointment may be renewed for subsequent one-year terms up to four years, contingent on continued satisfactory performance, the continued availability of funding and the needs of the program, and as long as you are within five years from receipt of the doctoral degree.
