The Research Team seeks a dedicated, highly motivated, and passionate intern in Applied Animal Welfare Research to develop knowledge and skills in leveraging data to create impact for animals under direct supervision of staff in the department. Interns will become familiar with the role of research and program evaluation in guiding organizational decision-making and driving action in the animal welfare field. Topics of ASPCA research include equine welfare, farm animal welfare, increasing access to veterinary care, animal sheltering, animal behavior, community cats, animal cruelty, and promoting community engagement in animal welfare.
The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals' (ASPCA) Strategy & Research Department is looking for an upper-level undergrad or master's student for a remote, part-time, unpaid internship (10-20 hrs/week). There isn't a particular focus for this internship (could be cruelty, access to veterinary care, farm animal welfare), but applicants who are interested in agricultural or food economics or perhaps environmental impacts of industrial agriculture are encouraged to apply.
