Upon completion of your internship, you must submit the Internship Completion Report. This report includes:

  • A filled-out Internship Completion Form with basic information about the internship. [Microsoft Word is required to fill out the Internship Completion Form. Students may use the computer lab in Jaharis if necessary.]
  • A detailed report on your internship experience, no more than five pages long.

    Include your thoughts on:

    • Exactly what kind of work you did and how it fit into your host organization's goals
    • What you learned (both the positives and the negatives).
    • What skills you used and any new skills you gained.
    • Your impressions of the people and the organization you worked with.
    • What the biggest challenges were: Anything you wish you'd known before you went on your internship and what you might do differently the next time.
    • What you think your fellow students—as well as professionals in the field—should know about the work you did: How effective it is, how it might be improved.
    • How your internship will influence your future career plans.
  • On a separate sheet, a sentence or two (each) describing your best experience during your internship, worst experience, favorite survival skill (what clothes to bring, how to feel secure in an insecure country, etc.) and one piece of good advice for future interns.
  • Any photographs you took—digital or otherwise—to document your internship

Email copies of the Internship Completion Report along with any digital pictures you took to the Office of Student Affairs, your Program Director, and your Academic Advisor. Sending the Internship Completion Report to your Internship Site Supervisor is optional. Be prepared to present on your internship to your program director and to the first year students.You will receive information about other program specific internship requirements, as well.
