Snack It Up Phase II

Snack It Up Phase II is a program that seeks to improve fruit and vegetable intake for children outside of school.

Snack It Up Phase I was developed through a program called Healthy Kids Out of School, which was established by researchers at Tufts University. We are conducting a pilot study of Snack It Up Phase II in partnership with America SCORES New England, and our goal is to work with parents to make healthy snacks more affordable and facilitate parent’s ability to access these healthier snacks.

Snack it Up Phase II seeks to learn about family snacking and grocery shopping behaviors, to determine the best resources that will positively impact snack purchasing behaviors (nutrition education resources and/or grocery coupons), to bring to light challenges parents face in achieving that their children snack healthfully.
