Mark your calendars for the second annual Career Development Workshop! This FREE event is specifically designed for students and dietetic interns who are pursuing careers in nutrition. The workshop is organized by the Massachusetts Student Dietetic Association (MSDA) and Tufts University Friedman School of Nutrition Science and Policy.

The 2009 Career Development Workshop seeks to enlighten students regarding their opportunities within the field of nutrition and to help them prepare for professional life. Attendees hope to learn how to find and prepare for jobs, to hear about the diversity offered by a career in nutrition, to gain valuable advice from professionals already in the field, and to apply their passion for health and nutrition to their careers.

The Career Development Workshop will provide skills that will be useful to all students—undergraduates and graduates—long after they enter the workplace. Examples of discussion topics include job-searching, financial planning, successful interviewing, salary negotiation, and professional résumé writing.

Please note that registration is required to attend this event. The deadline for registration is Friday, April 17, 2009. You must have a valid form of identification to verify your registration. Please make sure that you have a driver's license, passport, or birth certificate upon arrival. And, give yourself ample time to check-in before the Workshop starts at 1 PM. Check-in is from 12:30-1:00 PM.
