Racey Henderson is a MS/MALD ’07 graduate from Essex, NY. She and her husband own and manage Reber Rock Farm, a diversified, horse-powered farm in the Adirondacks (reberrockfarm.com). She manages a non-profit called the Essex Farm Institute which trains farmers in the Adirondacks and seeks to move the needle on climate change mitigation by small-holder farmers (essesfarminstutute.org). She is also a freelance consultant working for a variety of multinational and non-governmental organizations on small-holder issues in francophone Africa. She is excited about the prospect of connecting Tufts students and professors to all the rural development issues that are going on in her home of Essex, NY.
